TERMS OF USE

1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By accessing this node (a self-hosted LinkStack instance), you agree
to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

These terms may change. When they do, the "Last updated" date
changes. Continued use means you accept the change.

This node is part of a network of nodes that share software and
values. No individual or organization owns this platform. Maintainers
keep nodes running; they don't possess them. Anyone is welcome to
copy this node's configuration, fork the software, and run their own.

This node is intended for users 13 and older. If you're under 18 in
your jurisdiction, get a parent or guardian to read these with you
first.

2. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

LinkStack, the software this node runs on, is licensed under the GNU
Affero General Public License v3.0 and can be freely copied, modified,
and self-hosted:

The theme and custom code for this node are shared under the same
spirit — free to copy, adapt, and redistribute. If you want the exact
license, check the node's repository.

Content you create on your own profile belongs to you. Nobody here
claims it, and nobody can claim it on your behalf.

3. USER REPRESENTATIONS

By using this node, you confirm: your registration info is accurate,
you'll keep it updated, you have the legal capacity to agree to these
terms, you're 13 or older, you won't use the node illegally, and you
won't access it via bots or scrapers.

If any of that turns out to be false, your account may be suspended
or deleted.

4. USER REGISTRATION

You may need to register. Keep your password secret. You're
responsible for anything done with your account.

Usernames can be changed or reclaimed if they're being used to
impersonate, harass, or mislead.

5. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Don't use this node to:

  - Scrape, harvest, or compile data from other users
  - Trick, defraud, or mislead anyone
  - Circumvent security features
  - Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm anyone
  - Upload malware, spam, or junk
  - Impersonate anyone
  - Bypass rate limits or access controls
  - Use automated systems to interact with the node (bots,
    scrapers, scripts) outside normal browser use
  - Break any applicable law

Don't use this node for commercial purposes without checking with the
maintainers first.

6. USER GENERATED CONTRIBUTIONS

Anything you post on your profile is yours. You keep full ownership.
By posting it, you give the maintainers of this node permission to
display it as part of running the node — nothing more. No selling,
no sublicensing, no perpetual worldwide anything.

You're responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't
have the rights to, anything illegal, anything harassing, or anything
designed to hurt someone.

Maintainers can remove anything at any time, for any reason, without
notice. Usually that reason will be "it's breaking these terms" or
"it's hurting someone," but not always.

7. THIRD-PARTY LINKS

Your profile can link to other sites. Those sites have their own
rules, their own privacy policies, and their own problems. This node
isn't responsible for any of it. Click at your own risk.

8. NODE MANAGEMENT

Maintainers can, at any time and without notice: monitor the node
for abuse, remove content, remove accounts, block IP addresses, and
take legal action if warranted.

9. TERM AND TERMINATION

These terms apply while you use this node. Maintainers can terminate
your access at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.

If your account is terminated, don't make a new one under a different
name to get around it. If you disagree with a decision, you're welcome
to start your own node — that's what federation is for.

10. MODIFICATIONS AND INTERRUPTIONS

This node might go down. It might change. It might break. It's run by
volunteers and can't guarantee uptime, accuracy, or that anything
will keep working. No liability for any of that.

11. DISCLAIMER

THE NODE IS PROVIDED AS-IS. NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. USE IT
AT YOUR OWN RISK. NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS AS
A RESULT OF USING THE NODE.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

No one — maintainers, contributors, or anyone else involved with this
node — is liable for any damages arising from your use of the node.
If your jurisdiction doesn't allow this kind of limitation, some of
it may not apply to you.

13. INDEMNIFICATION

If someone sues because of something you did on this node, you agree
to cover the legal costs and damages of whoever gets sued.

14. USER DATA

This node keeps the data needed to run and makes routine backups.
You're responsible for your own copy of anything you post. No one is
liable if data is lost.

15. MISCELLANEOUS

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest
still applies. These terms are the whole agreement between you and
this node's maintainers. Nothing here creates a partnership,
employment, or agency relationship.
